An inspiring story of young love and coming out, told from both Payton and Kendall's point of view. The Gravity Between Us brings Payton's character out of the closet, as she struggles early on with telling her best friend that she's gay, and has known for three years. Finding this an easily relatable topic, I was pleased to see how the characters addressed the issue, along with the accidental outing. The writing was easy and at times simplistic but still enjoyable. Don't expect smutty sex scenes with this story, but there are moments of heat intense stares and a few romance scenes that make you feel as though you are part of the story. All the while you are rooting for this young couple to realize that they both want the same thing: each other. This is an easy book to envision with the level of detail as the chapters progress. Early on what the first chapter lacks of depth of Payton's character is quickly made up in the second chapter with Kendall's personality. As the story unfolds, so do the characters, making them well-developed and this an overall enjoyable read.
