Abused constantly by her husband, Elliana is determined to make her marriage work. As a daughter of a Southern Baptist preacher, divorce is unheard of in her family, not to mention that it could cause her father to disown her if she even discussed it.

When Elliana’s husband, Mark, who is a part of the Search and Rescue Team in the US Navy, is transferred from Pensacola, Florida, Elliana travels with him, leaving her mother and father behind.

Alone and afraid in a small California town of Mountain View, Elliana takes on a job as a receptionist at a well-known advertising firm. Shortly after her employment, her boss, Kate, notices Elliana coming to work wearing more makeup than usual and disengaging herself from her colleagues. Coming from an abusive marriage, Kate is familiar with the signs of domestic abuse and brings it to the attention of the Human Resources department in hopes to get Elliana some help. With Elliana being across country from her family, Kate knows exactly how hard it is to get out of that particular situation.
When Griffin Reid, the most eligible bachelor on the West Coast arrives at the advertising agency for a meeting with the company’s CEO, he is utterly shocked when he sees the battered receptionist seated behind the desk, trying her hardest to paste on a smile. When their eyes meet, Griffin if fully aware that he is looking at his soul mate. During his meeting, he asks the CEO of Elliana’s situation and is stunned of what Dave reveals to him. With tension settling in his gut, he is determined to rescue her from the hands of the monster who is hurting her, and Griffin stops at nothing to prove how much he loves her. Read More

Ingénue by Alexandra Christian

Thanks so much to the RomCon® Erotica blog for having me today. I’m very excited, as I’m an avid reader of the RomCon blog, so it’s a bit of a thrill to be able to be here. I’m here today touting my newest release with Ellora’s Cave. It’s a short and sexy historical called “Ingenue.” It’s a tale of the Golden Age of Vaudeville when folks flocked to dancehalls and theaters to see singers, dancers, bawdy comedians and sexy stripteasers. When I originally pitched this idea to my editor over at Ellora’s, she loved the idea and asked me that one question that authors answer ad nauseum: “Where do you get your ideas?” Especially the ones that are so far removed from your real life? Just a heads up, I’m not a burlesque dancer from the 1920s. I know… hard to believe. Anyway, I thought I’d talk a little about my greatest inspirations. Read More

Night of the Horse from Elodie Parkes

Blog Diva - Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Hi, thank you for inviting me here to talk about my hot new Evernight release, ‘Night of the Horse’.

The inspiration for the book came from seeing a paddock with more than thirty horses grazing in it. I have to travel sometimes with my job, and there’s a particular route I need to take to get to one part of the county. It takes me through beautiful countryside and past what I believe is the back of a horse stud. The first time I saw the paddock full of horses they were dotted about grazing. It’s a massive grassy area that slopes upwards to a hedgerow. I slowed my Jeep right down to look at the horses, but another vehicle suddenly came along on the country road and I had to drive on. On my way back, I hoped to see the horse again, but they were gone.

When I was asked to go that way again for work, I took my camera, hoping to photograph the horses, because they are all different colors and sizes, and very lovely. Read More

The Desert Was Never Hotter!

A haughty young heiress for whom the world is a playground… A savage son of the Sahara who knows no law but his own…When pride and passion vie for supremacy, blistering desert days are nothing compared to sizzling Sahara nights…

EXCERPT
Blinded and bound to his bed, I lay quiet and still, as silent tears scorched my cheeks. I was supremely defenseless, and I hated and feared this utter vulnerability.

"Doucement, doucement," he repeated in the same soothing tones he had used on his fretful horse. "It is not what you think, ma chère ."

I could not think at all. I trembled. I raged. I wept. But rational thought was far beyond me. My brain was completely numb, but my senses seemed only to sharpen. I was tense, drawn taut, every nerve thrumming on full alert, keenly aware of him—the soft tread of his feet, the rustling of his movements.  Read More

Everything Bared By Kristine Cayne

One team. One passion. One very hot fire station.

Hello, everyone! It’s a pleasure to be visiting RomCon’s Erotic page today. I’d like to talk a little about my Six-Alarm Sexy series. These are the stories of the men and women of Seattle's technical rescue team at Fire Station 44. The first five books each feature one of the Caldwell family siblings: Jamie, William, Drew, Chad, and Tori. While the series is erotic romance, it also delves into the difficulties and struggles of being a firefighter as well as being the lover or family member of a firefighter. These men and women risk their lives every day. Stress accumulates. Tensions mount. Emotions explode.

As you can well imagine, adrenaline junkies such as these heroes and heroines tend to be a little on the wild side when it comes to their sex life. This is not a BDSM series, although BDSM does figure heavily in some of the stories. Each hero and heroine is different, and each has their own kink or fetish. The fun is in figuring out how some of these very unlikely hookups can ever result in a happily ever after. Read More

Calculated Exposure By Holley Trent

Blog Diva - Wednesday, September 04, 2013

Calculated Exposure is the second book in my “Geeks” collection. It’s an erotic contemporary that tells the story of Curt Ryan—an Irish mathematician who tends to compartmentalize his emotions. It takes the brazen audacity of a Cuban-American newspaper photographer to make him even consider a long-term commitment. In the excerpt below, he revels in Erica’s boldness—he loves that she doesn’t beat around the bush.

From Calculated Exposure:

“I can turn the captioning on.” She poised herself to sit up, but he tightened his arm around her.

That anxiety again. Perhaps it was the tail end of the jetlag he’d been trying to shake or something.

“Uh, that’s okay. How’d your adjustment to the time zone change go?”

“I guess it didn’t bother me as much as I expected. Maybe it’s because I keep such an odd schedule. Whenever there’s breaking news, I have to drop what I’m doing and go.  Read More

Coming Ready Or Not By Liv Honeywell

Blog Diva - Wednesday, August 21, 2013

That moment when you realize you are owned…

‘Three vignettes, The Edge, Bad Girl, and Breathless focus on control. Can Abby be taken to the edge of pleasure and not cross over? She wants to obey and to hold on. But can she? And what will happen to her if she can't?

Holding on has never felt so good...’

That’s a little from the back cover copy of Coming, Ready or Not! When the story opens, Abby is doing everything she can not to come until Will gives her permission. She’s trying to think about what to have for dinner, or what if they paint the hall, even mentally pairing and folding socks - all in an effort not to think about what Will is doing to her. Read More

Innocence Lost By Helen Johnston

Blake is an Elder vampire, meaning he was born that way and not made into one.

Being an Elder, he is one of the Council members that governs their world, his word is law. He has been searching for his Queen all his life, and being over four hundred years old, that's a pretty damn long time. He thinks he has no hope of ever finding her, until he is foretold he will meet her.

And they do meet, but she is cruelly snatched from his arms by his enemies.

When she is kidnapped, she is kept in a veritable fortress and is awakened to the sensual and carnal pleasures that should have been taught by Blake. Instead it is by strangers. Read More

The Gilded Prison By Beverley Oakley

Blog Diva - Wednesday, June 12, 2013

Each week I’m riveted by the compelling plot twists and complex characterization of the popular television series Downton Abbey. After years of living in the UK I’ll admit to being a die-hard convert to these ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’ dramas, which inspired Her Gilded Prison, the first book in my Viscount Partington series.

Below is a snippet.

Her Gilded Prison

Lovely Lady Sybil yearns for a love she’s never received from her husband of 20 years, however it’s not the admiration of charming Stephen Cranbourne that has her considering adultery. Read More
