How to Have An Amicable Divorce By Lindsay Harper

Thursday, May 29, 2014

Here I am again to tell you about my latest book in the “HOW TO …” series of books –

‘How to Have an Amicable Divorce – a novel’.

It is the second in the series following ‘How to Have an Affair’ (released Feb 2014) but it can be read as a stand-alone title. I grew so attached to the characters in the first book that I knew I had to carry them on. ‘How to Have an Amicable Divorce’ contains the same five main characters but this time the story concentrates on Denizon Cartwright who had a much smaller role in the first book. Without giving too much away here is the
blurb:

How to Have an Amicable Divorce

Have you ever got yourself in so deep you feel like running away and starting a new life?

That’s exactly what wife and artist, Denizon Cartwright felt like doing. After deciding that she couldn’t put up with her unfaithful husband any longer, she leaves him for smooth-talking artist and professor, Damien Johnson – but she soon learns she’s swapped one liar for another and beats a hasty retreat … only to become entangled with Jay, the ex-lover of her best friend, Robyn.

Could her life get any more complicated? Yes! A surprise encounter leaves Denizon with an ever growing list of men falling in love with her.

Her escape route is at hand in the shape of El Pont D’Armentera, an artistic retreat high up in the Spanish mountains. But problems only follow, as she discovers.

Will she find true happiness or lose everyone she ever held dear?

And is the cost of finding herself too high a price to pay?

Each time I write a book I love it more than the one before - which I didn’t think was possible. I suppose it’s because I really get to know the characters and feel they are my best friends. The thought of them not existing anymore is too much to bear. I had in my mind that I wanted to write a third in the series and ‘How to have a Happy Marriage’ is due for release in September 2014 also with 5Prince Publishing.

Here is what people are saying about the book:

From Clare the Marketing Director at 5Princebooks:

Hi Lindsay.  I just started reading your book this afternoon and, once again, cannot put it down!  I just adore your writing.  I'm a huge fan.  And I am still mad at Robyn!  She's being so hypocritical and WRONG! No way should she be defending that cheating brother of hers.  Grrr.  My intent was to read about 100 pages today but I know I won't stop there.  (I'm on page 83 right now)  Also - I pull lines I love out for the tweets as I read and 83 pages in and I have 40 tweets already.  The last book I read, I didn't get 40 total.  I'm so glad you are with us.

And a fan from Amazon

Perfect book to chill out with 24 May 2014

Highly recommend this book. I was eagerly awaiting the release day after reading the teaser of this book from the end of Lindsay Harper's previous book 'How to have an affair!'

The book is well written and a great easy read. Hard to put down as the book leaves you wanting to read on to find out the paths the various characters are going to choose to take. A great book to read while relaxing and having a bit of 'me time.'
